Omar El Amine is an architectural designer, interdisciplinary artist and researcher based in London, as well as a a 2024 architecture graduate of the Royal College of Art. Whilst training as an architect, Omar has exhibited artwork internationally, most recently with his film A Mediterranean Melody in the 2024 edition of Sindbad in Jeddah. The primary vocabulary and vehicle of Omar’s work is intervening in architectural, territorial and spiritual space. Omar has explored art and architecture as method rather than result, towards the goal of unveiling previously misunderstood aspects of our condition. His background has inevitably led to his lines of artistic inquiry. Born in London to an English mother and Moroccan father, Omar has used the space between two worlds, cultures and paradigms as fertile ground to explore issues of spirituality, identity and decolonial politics.
